What is rETH on Arbitrum?
Rocket Pool ETH (rETH) on Arbitrum is the canonical bridged version of the Rocket Pool liquid staking token. It maintains the same properties as mainnet rETH while enabling users to participate in Arbitrum DeFi with significantly lower transaction costs.
How It Works
rETH on Arbitrum represents the same underlying staked ETH position as mainnet rETH. The token is bridged using the official Arbitrum bridge, ensuring 1:1 backing with mainnet rETH. The exchange rate to ETH continues to accrue value as Ethereum staking rewards accumulate.
Key Features
Lower Transaction Costs: Arbitrum transactions cost a fraction of Ethereum mainnet, making DeFi interactions economical for smaller positions. Same Decentralization: Arbitrum rETH benefits from Rocket Pool's decentralized node operator network. DeFi Integration: Use rETH in Arbitrum lending protocols, DEXs, and yield strategies while earning ETH staking rewards. Canonical Bridge: Official bridge ensures security and 1:1 backing.Risks
Bridge Risk: Cross-chain tokens introduce additional smart contract and bridge security risks. L2 Risk: Arbitrum's security model differs from Ethereum mainnet. Liquidity Risk: Arbitrum rETH markets may have less liquidity than mainnet. Underlying Protocol Risk: Subject to all Rocket Pool protocol risks.Data Disclaimer
